The main business of Shanghai IcoSteel Inc. is outsourcing steel materials from overseas. Iron ore tonnage imported by the management team was ranked 5th in 2007, 2nd in 2008, and 1st of all steel making enterprises in the first half of 2009 in China. Tonnage of PCI imported by the management team was the largest in the first half of 2009 in China. 

Steel project (joint venture with Xinxing Pipes, a one of Chinese Central-owned enterprise) has started to construct its coking coal mine and coking plant in 2008.
